If I Were in a Fairytale...

The other day we all had a great time in Gabbaland. Plex beamed DJ Lance down to Gabbaland to play with us. DJ Lance read us a fairytale, just like my mom used to read to me. Muno wanted to pretend that he was in the fairytale and, since Muno wanted it DJ Lance let it happen. Toodee and I got pretty small parts in the fairytale. Muno was Jack and we had to be the two people to trade him some magic beans for a broken bean machine. Why would we trade magic beans for some old broken machine? I wouldn’t do that. Brobee got a really big part. He got to be the giant. I thought he didn’t even like to be big. If it were up to me I would make a fairytale about a princess trapped in a magic castle. She can't go home but they make it nice there for her. But then, she gets a fairy godmother and gets to poof back home.

After we played I decided that maybe it was time to ask Plex about my family. I was pretty scared and even though I kept following Plex around there never seemed to be a good time to ask. Maybe he is too busy planning that surprise party that Muno thinks is coming. If they are planning a party I bet it is for Muno anyway. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe it is a party for me. Maybe Foofle and the rest of my family will come. Maybe, if I ask too many questions, it will never happen. I suppose I should just keep quiet for now and wait for my fairy godmother.

  1. I had a lot of fun acting in the fairytale with you, Foofa. I thought it was neat that we got to have magic beans! Remember when the Tooth Fairy came to Gabbaland? Maybe she is your fairy godmother?

  2. Foofa, I didn't know you had teeth!!?!? Fairytales are the best. You can play in them all day and sometimes into the night. Then when you're done, you know stuff you didn't know before!

  3. DJ Lance read a fairytale and made it happen. I wish he could do the same thing with my comic books.

I wish you could, DJ Lance. Imagine me helping out the amazing Spider-Man and defeat evil.

  4. Hey, that's it! DJ Lance could probably read my comic books and make it happen (just like the fairytales). DJ Lance, (please reply) what do you think about being the amazing Spider-Man's sidekick? The webbed-wonder could use a awesomely magical dude like you. I don't even have any powers. (Comic books are better than fairytales)

    1. Spiderman is involved with some very dangerous stuff. I don't know if that is really my cup of tea. I prefer dancing. I also think Comic Books are a lot like Fairy Tales. They are both all about mythology and lessons. I liked the day we all played superheros but I don't think I would want to be one for real.

    2. Come on, DJ Lance! Your magical and you can fly! Don't you use it for any responsibility? My web-slinging pal, Spider-Man, told me that with great power comes great responsibility. He also wanted a reply because he wanted to know what's under your hat (He's such a witty superhero).

    3. Spiderman is right. Great power does mean great responsibility but I am responsible for everything here in Gabbaland. If something were to happen here that needed a superhero I would do all I can. But crossing into another world to help is just too much.

  9. Foofa, when you guys return, can you put up more stories on this "garden of words?" Besides, I need more room to chat and all the comment bars are getting full.

See ya in August, DJ Lance Rock! You're AWESOME!

I'm looking forward to reading your stories when you get back, Foofa!

  11. DJ Lance Rock, if you received this gift that means it's already August; I thought it might suit you.

    Do you believe in magic?
    In a young girls heart
How the music can free her
    whenever it starts

    And it's magic
    if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old time movie

I'll tell ya about the magic
    It'll free your soul
but it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock n roll

If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
    Just go and listen
    It'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
    Your feet start tapping
And you can't seem to find
    How you got there
    So just blow your mind

    If you believe in magic
    Come along with me
We'll dance until morning, just you and me
and maybe, if the music is right
    I'll meet ya tomorrow
    so late at night

We'll go a dancin' baby then you'll see
all the magic's in the music and the music's in me, yeah

Do you belive in magic? Yeah.
Believe in the magic in a young girl's soul
believe in the magic of rock n roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
    Ohhhh, talkin' 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believe?
    Do you believe in magic?

    1. WOW that is AWESOME!!!!! Thanks so much for making this song for me. I've been away teaching the gang all about exploring and being themselves. We've gone to all different neighborhoods and seen many types of people and art and neat things. It's great to get back and have something like this waiting for me.

    2. Thanks Lance! This is where I got the inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXe3aa3naFA

My webslingin' pal, Spidey, showed this to me after he took care of a LIZARD problem. He didn't mind if I use it. Compare his song to the one I wrote for you and tell me.

    3. I had a tune all made up in my head but that Spidey tune works even better. Nice Job? Have you ever heard this song about your friend Spidey? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1WtWRCTf1U

    4. Thanks, but I choice that tune of Spidey because you love 70s' music as much as I do.

  13. Yo, DJ Lance. I know I know this stuff, but I wanted to see if you know it, too:

Foofa and Toodee are both girls. What changes will they be going through when they get older?

    1. Cat dragons might grow longer tails and eyelashes when they get older. Flower bubbles will get bigger petals and maybe even sprout leaves.

  14. No no no, Lance. I'm talking about the changes regular girls go through.

  15. I'd have to check with Kemba about that.

  16. Hey Lance! If a girl that prefers to act boyish is called a "tomboy", then what do we call a boy that prefers to act girlish?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think there are "girlish" and "boyish" ways to act. I think that is all the way that some parents or groups of people decide to socialize their children. I think all children should be themselves, play with the toys they want to play with and act however makes them feel happy. I think it's just called being human.

  17. Says you, Lance. I'm a genuine tombow! "Girly" ways always makes me sick.
